Hello my lovelies, welcome back to itsjustabbsxo!
Wow, I turned 23 on 1st September (such a lovely birthday spent with family) but when I woke up, all I could think was, I haven’t done anything yet…. I haven’t ticked a single thing off my bucket list yet. Not one single thing! I’ve been saying I am going to get a tattoo this year, for the past three years and have I done it? Pfft, not a chance. It got me thinking, instead of just writing a bucket list and hoping that one day I will manage to cross off the items, why don’t I challenge myself to complete thirty things before I turn thirty! I have seven years to get these tasks ticked off and boy am I determined. Now, I think some of these items are definitely more achievable than others but nevertheless, it has to be done. I mean, I’ve put it out on the internet now, no backing out of this one Abigail!
I am determined to make my life a wonderful adventure filled with love, laughter and endless happiness. I am no longer going to make excuses, I will say yes to opportunities (within reason of course), I will push myself and I will get these tasks ticked off!! I want to see the world and explore everything it has to offer. There is so much possibility in the world, why not use that to our advantage and just do it. I want to do everything and anything; dancing in the rain, skinny dipping in the ocean, swim with pigs in the Bahamas (ok long shot but you know what I mean!)
I figure life’s a gift and I don’t intend on wasting it. You don’t know what hand you’re gonna get dealt next. You learn to take life as it comes at you… to make each day count.Jack Dawson, Titanic

So, I know things like ‘running the mud run’ may seem like a very simple thing but let me tell you, I am so incredibily unfit its a joke. I think of running now and it makes me want to throw up. So why not add it to my bucket list? I may not be able to do it right now but no one is stopping me from completing it in five years time. Hey, speaking of ‘no one is stopping me’, this is something my mother always tells me. “The only person standing in your way, is you” I truly hear this now, and I see that it really is me that is the issue. I am the one not pushing myself to do these things, I am the one chickening out on the tattoo and booking a sky dive! The time has come for that to change, I am going to live my life to fullest and make every day count.
I am ready to take on the challenge of these items and I cannot wait to tick them off this list. Every time I successfully complete a task on the list, I will highlight the task and include a photograph on this post! I can’t wait to share my journey with all of you.
What is one thing that is on your bucket list?
Until next time,
