Makeup Storage & Organisation

Hello my lovelies! Welcome back to the blog 🙂 Today’s post is a little different, it’s my makeup storage and organisation post. I LOVE organisation as you know and so having my makeup in its place is just heaven to me. Lets jump in:

Okay so straight off the bat, I have my set of three IKEA drawers, these are the Malm drawers. They are perfect – the perfect size for my makeup. I always wanted the Alex 9 draw system but since everyone has them, I wanted something a little different. My whole set up is two malm drawers on either side of my malm dresser. On top of my dresser I have put on a marble adhesive sticker like wallpaper. My mirror in the centre of the wall is also from IKEA as well as two strips of lights.

I have two silver flower pots on the top of the desk which hold my makeup brushes. My makeup brushes range from Morphe to Superdrug. I love brushes and am slowly but surely building up my collection.

On top of the right dresser I have this white organiser, in this I hold another silver flower pot which holds all my cotton pads. Next to that I have my toner, moisturiser and my serum. I like to have these out so I have easy access to them everyday. Next to those, I have my air freshener.

On top of the left dresser, I have my pallets. They are organised in these silver document organisers. I love how these look. In the front I have my smaller pallets; my blush pallet, Huda Beauty pallet and my two square morphe pallets. In the back tray, I have my other three morphe pallets. I like that these are all organised in height order; it makes it so much easier to see what I have.

Okay…. inside the desk draw; I have this cutlery organiser, in this I keep my other skincare products. These products involve moisturizers and face masks; the products I don’t reach for that often. I then have my diary and happy thoughts journal; next to this I have a pack of colouring pencils. Finally, my face wipes – my makeup wipes. The Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes are my absolute favourites.

Let’s talk about the makeup draws now. So in the right set of draws, I use the draw dividers to separate my makeup into categories. The top drawer is my base draw. I have four dividers in this draw. As you can see, there is one for primers, one for foundations, one for powders and the other is where I keep all my new makeup that I want to try.

IMG_3651The second draw is where I keep the rest of my makeup. In the front left divider, all my cream base products, my concealers and cream bronzers. I have to keep these in this draw instead of the top draw because the dividers won’t all fit. I know ANNOYING!

IMG_3655 In the front right divider I keep my go to eye products. My go to eye brow products and my current mascara. Right at the back, I keep all my eye products that I don’t use very often. Mascaras, eyebrow products, cream shadows etc… In the right back divider, this is where I keep all my lip products; lip sticks, lip liners and lip glosses. I also keep spare makeup wipes in this draw to keep them out of the way.

The right set of draws don’t have any makeup in and so I won’t be talking about what is in these.

And there we have it, my makeup storage and organisation! How do you store your makeup?

  1. This is so satisfying to look at! I like that you’ve got a base drawer and then divided it into even more categories so it’s even more organised! My make up bag is an absolute mess haha, I will have to work on it. I love your desk too!
